WEEE Skip Hire
Disposing of old electronics requires more than just throwing them away. Items like computers, TVs, fridges and other appliances contain materials that must be handled safely and responsibly. At Eco Waste & Recycling, we provide specialist skips for electronic waste recycling, making it easy to clear unwanted equipment from your home, office or building site.

What is WEEE?
WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. It covers almost any item with a plug, battery or cable, from everyday household gadgets to large commercial appliances. Because many of these products contain metals, plastics and hazardous components, they can’t go in general waste. Proper handling through electronic waste recycling ensures valuable materials are recovered while harmful elements are treated safely in line with regulations.
Why Use a Skip for WEEE Recycling?
Handling electronic items can be awkward, especially when you have large quantities or bulky appliances. A WEEE skip provides the space and strength to store these items securely in one place before collection. Using a skip also means you avoid multiple trips to the tip and ensures your waste is taken directly to our licensed transfer station, where everything is sorted ready for responsible processing under our zero-to-landfill commitment.

Where Can I Find WEEE Recycling Near Me?
If you’re clearing out old appliances or upgrading workplace equipment, our WEEE recycling service gives you a safe and compliant way to dispose of it. We cover towns and villages across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, supplying skips designed specifically for electronic waste recycling. From single items to bulk collections, our team makes electrical disposal straightforward and fully compliant with UK regulations. What You Need to Know About Batteries
Batteries are classed as WEEE but must not be placed directly in a skip. They contain hazardous materials that need specialist handling. If you need to dispose of batteries, please contact our depot before booking.
Once agreed, batteries can only be placed in a WEEE skip and must be set securely on top of the load, not mixed in with other items. This ensures they are collected safely and sent for proper treatment.
